Why was Jéda Vu created?

Jéda Vu was created because I wanted to live my dreams and share my passion for makeup with everyone.

How did you grow to love makeup so much?

Makeup was something I grew to love the minute I dabbled in its magic. Initially it was a means to cover my perceived imperfections. But now, it provides me with a creative outlet that I thrive on.

Like most beginners, I made the common mistake of using a foundation that was two shades darker than my actual skin tone! From applying foundation alone, I began experimenting with other products – eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow etc.. And as my collection of products grew, so did my curiosity. The moment I discovered that makeup is about enhancing and complementing your features, rather than picking out flaws to cover up, it became an art to me, with no set rules. I explored and experimented with various tools, colours and techniques and experienced first hand that unless you feel good with the makeup you have on, you are not truly experiencing the magic makeup can possess.

From there, my love affair and fascination with makeup exponentially grew and grew.

Where has your journey taken you so far?

What started out as a routine, later became a hobby. With persistence, practice and passion, I made it my mission to learn about which techniques work best for me. I enrolled myself into a course, graduated, met like minded entrepreneurs and have been to places I only ever dreamed of. I’ve worked at fashion shows, film shoots, photo shoots as well as with numerous brides, to name a few. As my experience with make up grew, so did my makeup kit! Not only do I use quality products, I use multiple brands to suit every skin type and ensuring long lasting and flawless finishes. To name a few, MAC Cosmetics, Makeup Forever, Gorgeous Cosmetics, Urban Decay are just some of the products I use.

What’s ahead for Jéda Vu?

I am excited about the journey ahead for Jéda Vu. Life is an endless road with many speed bumps, round-a-bouts and detour signs. Along the way the people I will meet, the friendships that I will form, the support and guidance from the friends and family will make up this journey.
